The brain child and passion of Lee Whitworth of A&E Training Ltd and his wife Alison; Co founded and supported by Loo Morton of Neeps and Tatties who is the Treasurer of the inititiative. 

Lee started HoR in 2022 where he raised funds for a defibrillator near to where he lives.  He then realised that it wouldn’t be enough to serve the people of Richmond and wanted to raise funds for 20 defibs.  This target was smashed in  2025 and in fact the team are currently working on defib 24!  Lees dream is for every house to be within a mile radius of a defib in Richmond, North Yorkshire

Did you know that we have to update the defib pads after every use or every two years.  Every 5 years or less we need to replace the batteries.  We estimate on average that it costs around £2000 a year to keep all the sites live.  As we grow this cost will grow too.
